Treetify ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Treetify mobile and web applications (the "App" or "Services"), how we use it, and your rights in relation to it.

By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Information You Provide Directly

When you register and use the App, you provide us with:

• Account information: name, email address, and profile picture, used for login and display within the App.
• Professional information: company name, company logo, company registration number, and other business details you choose to add to your profile.
• Work content you create: customer records, site/ground records, tree records (including species, measurements, health data, GPS coordinates, notes), inspection data, and attachments such as photographs.

This content is stored solely to enable the App to function — specifically to allow you to manage your records and generate arborist assessment reports (PDF documents). We do not use this content for any other purpose.

3.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use the Services, we may collect limited technical data necessary for the App to operate:

• Authentication identifiers: a token or identifier linked to your Google account, used to authenticate your session.
• Device and usage data: basic information such as device type, operating system version, and app version, used for diagnosing technical issues.
• IP address and session data: logged for security purposes and to detect abuse.

We do not use any of this data for advertising, profiling, or marketing.

4. Legal Basis for Processing (EEA/UK)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:

• Contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR): to provide you with the Services you have registered for, including storing and displaying your records and generating reports.

5. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect exclusively to:

• Create and manage your account and authenticate your identity.
• Store, display, and organize the records you create (customers, sites, trees, inspections, photos).
• Generate PDF arborist assessment reports based on the data you have entered.
• Display your profile and company information in the reports you generate.
• Operate, secure, and maintain the technical infrastructure of the App.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your data for advertising, marketing, analytics sold to third parties, or any purpose beyond delivering the Services to you.

6. Sharing and Disclosure of Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own purposes. We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:

• Infrastructure providers: we use third-party hosting and cloud storage providers to store your data on secure servers. These providers act as data processors under contractual obligations to protect your data and use it only for the purpose of hosting our Services.
• Authentication provider: we use Google OAuth 2.0 for authentication. When you sign in with Google, Google receives a confirmation of authentication. We do not share your content or work data with Google.
• Legal requirements: we may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or government authority, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
• Business transfers: if Treetify is acquired or merged with another entity, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you in advance and ensure your data remains protected under terms consistent with this policy.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal data and content for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to comply with our legal obligations or resolve disputes. When you delete your account or request deletion of your data, we will delete or anonymize your information promptly, except where retention is required by law.

You may delete individual records (trees, sites, customers) at any time through the App. You may request full account deletion by contacting us at info@treetify.app.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: to request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Rectification: to request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Erasure: to request deletion of your data in certain circumstances.
• Restriction: to request that we limit our processing of your data.
• Portability: to receive your data in a commonly used, machine-readable format.
• Objection: to object to processing based on legitimate interests.
• Withdraw consent: where processing is based on consent, to withdraw it at any time.

We implement appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your data, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), access controls, and secure storage. 10. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed or stored in countries other than your own. Where required by applicable law, we ensure that international transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

11. Third-Party Services

The App uses Google OAuth 2.0 for authentication. By signing in with Google, you are also subject to Google's Privacy Policy. We do not control Google's data practices.

The App does not contain third-party advertising, trackers, or analytics SDKs that report your usage to external parties.

12. Device Permissions

The App may request access to the following device features:

• Camera: to capture photographs of trees and attach them to records. Photos are stored within the App only.
• Location (GPS): to record the GPS coordinates of trees at the time of inspection. Location data is stored as part of the tree record only.

These permissions are used solely for the functional purposes described above. You may revoke permissions at any time through your device settings, though doing so may limit certain App functionality.

13. Children

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, please contact us at info@treetify.app and we will delete it promptly.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy within the App or by sending you an email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this policy will reflect when changes were made. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
